TIPS & TRICKS
ARTWORK BEST PRACTICES
To ensure a seamless process and to avoid unnecessary delays, we encourage following a few best practices
when submitting artwork. Whether you’re placing a simple order or requesting a custom design, these tips will
help streamline your experience and ensure quick, beautiful results.
Definition: Vector
Think of vector art like a digital stencil made of shapes instead of tiny dots (pixels). No matter how much you
zoom in or resize it, the edges stay perfectly sharp. Preferred file types: .ai, .eps, and .pdf.
Submit vector art files for best results, if
available
For a streamlined experience, submitting vector art
files (.ai, .eps, or .pdf) allows for precise cutting. Our
art processing is done in Adobe Illustrator, and while
we can accept bitmap files (.jpeg, .png, and .bmp),
they cannot be used for cutting paths, which may
slow processing time.

Maintain Scaling
When scaling your artwork, be aware of the
resolution to avoid pixelation or blurriness.
Submitting artwork at a 1:1 scale or noting the scale
in your order notes helps ensure that proofs are
accurate, and dimensions are correct.
Keep files accessible and clear
When submitting an art file:
• Make sure your file is not password-protected.
• If your artwork includes high-resolution images,
send them as separate files.
• Include all order specifications in your quote
rather than embedding them within the
artwork file.
• Avoid miscellaneous text or notes in your
artwork file. Instead, attach order notes
separately in your request.
