Second Surface Painting
What does second surface mean?
1st surface – painting or printing on the face of the
product – or front viewing surface (face).
2nd surface – painting or printing on the opposite side of
a clear product’s face – or the back.
Advantages:
• Clear acrylic helps protect paint or ink from
scratches
• Clear acrylic protects paint or ink from chemical
attacks – such as in many cleaning products
• Clear acrylic protects paint or ink from vandalism
(scratches – graffiti)

double faced tape, designed for interior use
only, or mechanically fastened threaded studs
for both interior and exterior applications.
Multiple piece projects, up to 20 pieces, can be
bonded before shipping. Projects over 20 pieces
will require our production and pricing review.
Available in sizes, by gauge, up to sizes listed in the
letter and logo pricing pages. Any letter, panel, or
logo over 48” x 48” will also need production review
to confirm our capability and pricing.
