Q: Can we apply paint on the surface of etched plaques?
A: No. Only the recessed areas of the plaque can have paint fill applied due to the shallow nature of etching. The
surface of an etched plaque would be a metal finish, or a partial UV Colorlast print can be applied for additional
cost.
If you need the surface and the recessed areas of a plaque painted, then please refer to our precision plaque
product as an alternative to etching.
Q: Does Gemini quote freight charges?
A: Gemini offers guaranteed ground freight charges on most orders of plaques with one or both dimensions less than
80”. Plaques 36” and larger will have oversized shipping fees applied.
For plaques 80” and larger there will be no guaranteed ground freight available. A freight estimate can be
supplied upon request.
If you require rush shipping, please make a request when placing your order.

Q: Are there charges for creating layouts/proofs?
A: When you place an order, a proof of the plaque(s) will be provided for your review and approval prior to production.
Gemini will create up to two additional versions of the proof if you have modifications needed prior to proceeding
with production. If additional changes for a proof is required, additional fees will be reviewed and may be applied
to the order.
Portraits, Photos, Graphics, Sculpted proofs that require recreation or clean up, may incur additional costs. These
would be non-refundable art fees if you change or cancel the order after the proof has been created. More than
one revision may also incur additional fees.
Q: What is Gemini’s return policy?
A: Most Gemini products are custom made for specific applications. However, as a service to our customers, we will
offer a credit (prior to installation) up to 50% of the original net price for returns, up to $500 maximum. Freight is
not included in the credit.
After installation and/or after one year of the original ship date of the order, the plaque may be reviewed for return
for scrap credit only. Freight is not included in the credit.
Q: What is your change order or cancellation policy?
A: After you submit your proof approval, your order is sent to production. Changes or cancellation that occur after
proof approval will be subject to fees if production has begun. In most cases, there is a 50% fee of the cost of the
order. Additional fees such as sculpting proof art, art creation, and art clean up, are non-refundable. Review of
your order will be done at the time of the change or cancellation and then communicated for required fees.
